You are here because you love Alberta, you love Canada, and you know that letting separatists dictate our future is crazy.
Right now, we are one bad election day away from constitutional chaos, alienating our immigrant communities, and losing our standing in Canada. Oh, and also maybe being absorbed by the USA. Ugh.
Premier Smith threw in 9 extra referendum questions hoping to slip them under the radar. Five of them cruelly target immigrants and temporary workers, trying to strip their health care and education. The rest are messy grabs for constitutional power from Ottawa.
Can we actually defeat all of them and stay in Canada?
Yes. The government’s entire strategy relies on you staying home. But we know that the numbers are on our side. But a comfy lead in the polls is how we lose (think: BREXIT, think: TRUMP, Should we go on?)
Low enthusiasm and terrible lines at polling stations make average people stay home, while the extreme fringe shows up in droves.
What do we do? Lawn signs and bumper stickers are a great start (and please get yours here or here if you haven’t), but we need more. We have to convert our friends and family into actual votes.
The proven way to do that is relational organizing.
When a politician tells someone to vote, they ignore it. When a trusted friend tells them to vote, they show up. This is what we need to do.
Think of this like a pyramid scheme, but for Canada. Turning everyone into an organizer.
We will give them (you) a system of prompts and fun games to mobilize five people in your life. Instead of casting one vote and crossing your fingers, you bring five times (hence, 5x) the impact on Election Day. If you do that, we win. This scales fast: 50,000 of us will turn out 250,000 voters to win the referendum and crush Danielle Smith’s other 9 questions!
Polls say yes. But polls do not vote. If only 30% of the province votes "Yes" to separation, the separatists will spin it as massive momentum to keep bothering us for decades. We have to crush this so completely they never bring it up again.

The rest try to grab constitutional power from Ottawa. It is messy, cruel, and a terrible look and we want everyone to vote NO to the NINE other questions.
Yes. By turning you into a turnout machine, you are not just voting "No" on separation. You are dragging your network to the polls to sweep the board with "No" votes on everything.
Lawn signs and Canadian flags are good for morale and normal displaying your Canadian pride. And you should definitely get one from Forever Canadian or Alberta’s Voice (pick up locations) if you have not done so already. They do not drive people to the polls. We need to reach out directly to voters and make sure they actually show up.
